selected as the 2010 Teen Ambassador to represent Boys & Girls Clubs of America's and Charles Schwab Foundation's financial education program!

Our very own Tamara Johnson, Youth Leader Assistant and 
Pojoaque Valley High School Senior has been chosen 

for the prestigious honor of serving as the 

National Ambassador for Boys & Girls Clubs of America's 

Money Matters: Make it Count
 program. 

As the 2010 
Money Matters Ambassador, Tamara will attend various events on behalf of BGCA and the program to speak about the importance of financial education for teens. Her first trip will be to New York later this month to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange and close the day's trading session.

Tamara also received a $10,000 scholarship from Charles Schwab Foundation, sponsor of the 
Money Matters program.

On Monday, April 26, 18-year-old Tamara Johnson of Santa Fe, N.M., rang the NYSE Closing Bell in honor of being named the 2010 National Ambassador for the successful Money Matters: Make it Count financial literacy program, sponsored by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Charles Schwab Foundation.

She closes out her trip with another television interview on Tuesday morning before getting on a plane to come back to us here in New Mexico!
