The Pueblo of Pojoaque Boys and Girls Club have awarded the 2nd Annual PPBGC Jen Roper Memorial college scholarship to the following club member:

Danielle Martinez, a senior at Pojoaque Valley H.S. in the amount of $1,000.00. The 2nd Annual Jen Roper Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a club member that was personally involved in the MIRACLES Technology Program while attending the Club.  The award is named after Jen Roper who was the Clubs’ Technology Director from 2007-2011.  Jen was a valuable and caring staff member who touched many lives and made a positive difference in this world.  Jen passed away in November, 2013 from cancer.  
Daniella was involved with Link Crew, Student Council, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Keystone Club, Torch Club, MIRACLES Program, National Honors Society (President), Emerald Scholar (4 years), European Club, Yearbook Club, Girls State, Money Matters, Career Launch, Race Against Drugs, reporter & Stardancers.  She also participated on the PVHS Volleyball Team (State Champions 2013) the past 4 years.  Besides all of this she was also the 2015 Class Validictorian at PHS.    
She will attend The University of New Mexico in the Fall and major in Environmental Engineering. Parents are Danny & Melissa Martinez of Nambe, N.M.
